Welcome to the Curriculum and Technology Department!
 
The focus of our department in the Allen Park Schools is to support the parents, teachers, and administrators as they provide a rich learning environment for students.  Everything we do has one goal in mind, increase student achievement.
 
The responsibilities of our department include:
  • Coordinating district student testing such as the Michigan Education Assessment Program (MEAP), Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) and Classroom Literacy
  • Providing and facilitating professional staff development for instructional staff in the areas of academics and technology.
  • Managing our student data system, Zangle, which includes studentconnection, parentconnection, and teacherconnection.
  • Facilitating our curriculum review process through the assistance of the Instructional Curriculum Council.
  • Maintaining existing technology equipment throughout the school district and proposing new technologies for classrooms.
  • Serving as a liaison to the Board of Education for textbook approvals and curriculum changes.
  • Preserving a safe and secure network for students, classroom instructors, and support employees of the district.
  • Providing a website, through the support of school and community members, that is current, informative and promoting of student achievement.
  • Coordinating the efforts of instructional staff and administrators in delivering instructional services to students with low academic achievement and to English language learners supported by federal funds, such as Title I and Title III.
